Chad A. Griffin, MD

Originally a native of Jonesborough, Tennessee, Dr. Griffin received his education through the University of Tennessee, graduating from the University of Tennessee School of Medicine in 1995. His postgraduate studies include internship and residency through the University of Tennessee at Saint Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Griffin did a fellowship at James H. Quillen College of Medicine, East Tennessee State University which included extensive colonoscopy and EGD experience. He practiced 3 years in Kissimmee, Florida before he and his wife, Kim, returned to Tennessee.

Dr. Griffin and his wife, Kim, have called Sparta home since April, 2000. Dr. Griffin serves on Board of Directors for Sparta YMCA and he has served as a City of Sparta Alderman. He loves spending time with his wife and 4 children. His hobbies include Bible study and theology, reading classic books, University of Tennessee football and basketball, church involvement and global missions, physical fitness, hiking and farming.

Anna Vaughn Benningfield, APN

Anna Vaughn Benningfield is a native of Sparta, TN. She received her undergraduate from Tennessee Technological University in 2006. In December 2008, she earned a Masters Degree in Nursing from Tennessee Technological University. She became Board Certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse in 2009. While in graduate school she worked at Cookeville Regional Medical Center as a Registered Nurse in the intensive care unit. Since receiving her Board Certification she has been with Cornerstone Family Medicine. Anna maintains the patient’s health maintenance through physicals, well child exams, well woman exams, and preventative medicine. Anna and her husband, Dustin, reside in Sparta, Tennessee with their 2 daughters.

Kelly Lyons, FNP

Kelly Lyons is a native of Sparta, TN. She received her undergraduate from Tennessee Tech University in 2006. In August 2014, she earned a masters degree in nursing from TTU. She became board certified as a family nurse practitioner in 2014. While in graduate school she worked at River Park Hospital as a registered nurse in the emergency department. Since receiving her board certification she has been with Cornerstone Family Medicine. Kelly maintains patients health maintenance through physicals, well child exams, well woman exams, and preventative medicine. Kelly and her husband, Ray, reside in Quebeck, Tennessee with their two sons.
